If it's just a C2S on steroids.. well in that case, honestly, I don't think that we'll be needing a dedicated section. Right guys?

You are welcome to post in the existing 991 forum if you have any questions about what deviating stitching to order or whether or not to color match your key. Should fit in well with the hot topics of discussion over there.

Soon, because right now we are still making it sound like the 991 is not as good as the 997. :-)

Personally, I don't see the point in having a dedicated 991 GT3 section until we actually know the spec of the car and have the ability to order one. Trading the same spy photos and rumors back and forth over and over, which is what we have right now, will get pretty freaking boring.

And BTW, can't people at least wait until equipment, pricing, performance characteristics, testing, etc. are known before they start making snide comments about the 991 GT3 and writing it off as a pretender or pumped up C2S? You all could pretend to be objective for a while, at least until an actual car makes an appearance. There will be plenty of time later to take a superior attitude and turn up your nose at the sight of one....

if the 991 GT3 is just a 991 carrera with engine and suspension tuning then i see no point in a seperate forum.

I wonder if one could transform a 991 Carrera S into a GT3 with off shelf parts since they may share the same engine etc?

Exactly, you've hit on why the GT3 is special, while it's the same basic chassis it uses an entirely different drivetrain derived from motorsport. You simply cannot build a GT3 from a Carrera, at least currently.....

As a 993 owner, you know that the RS can be cloned off of a Carrera fairly easily ($$$ but possible)... Hopefully this GT3 is something special, fingers crossed.
