I'm excited to see how that stacks up against the Mclaren P1 and the "new enzo" that ferrari is releasing soon. too bad the 918 is still going to be over 3300 lbs

Yeah, those electric motors add a lot of weight.

The too bad part is too bad it will cost $845,000. Impractical to the max.

pagani huayura
mclaren p1
"enzo .2"
koeniggsegg
porsche 918

the only one of those cars under a million bucks is the porsche. that will be their "value" assertation.

but let's be honest when the 959, f40, enzo, CGT, mclaren f1, etc all came out- they cost WAY more than anything else on the road. the 200-400k MSRP is dead and gone for range topping mega cars-

blame it on bugatti/VW- they proved that enough people are willing to spend a million or more to have a car that rises above all others.

can't believe I'm saying this but why not just get an Aventador at 425k after options? BARGAIN! lol

a $80k 2010 Viper ACR beats it.

Just 5 seconds faster than a 2011 GT2RS, and almost 1,000 lbs heavier. No thanks, at any price.

The McLaren P1 style might be controversial, but it will surely be super light. The Fiat F70 is rumored to have a 6.3 V12 engine (same as the FF and F12) upgraded to 800 Hp, and then close to another 200Hp will come from the KERS system.

The three cars are in the $1MM club, but I would choose Fiat for obvious reasons (resale, hello!!!).

The Carrera GT on crappy PS2 lapped in 7:28, with current fast tires, it would not be far off the 918 Spyder at the Ring, for less than half the price, and close to 1,000 lbs lighter.

CGT winner.

Make mine lighter, fixed roof, no electric motor hybrid ****, RWD and half the price.
Maybe then I will learn to like the shape and put in on my dream car list.

The 918 is 3300 lbs not 4300 lbs. I agree on the speed per dollar though. CJ also makes sense. This is actually good news for the 911.

7:14 is much faster than I thought it would be. Imagine how fast it would be if they upped the gasoline engine specs and deleted the electric power.

There is no way this car is 3300 lbs. I've read 3700-3800 lbs. There is an optional "Weissach" light weight package to cut 77 lbs.

^ This

The 918, at the moment, seems like the most disappointing super car ever made.

Agreed with Rad. CGT is a great bargain in today's world of mega super cars. Still the most pure driving machine among all these electronically sophisticated cars getting built. Am amazed that CGTs have not held their prices better.

CJ does have a point too. I am not a Lamborghini fan, but the Aventador does look like a bargain compared to the priciest cars to be released. GT3s continue to be a great relative bargain.
