Sort of on topic, yet slightly off...

WGP (Nissan GT-R shop in CT) are offering an OE Corvette ZR1 carbon rotor retrofit kit package for the R35 GT-R. Here's a link to the thread-http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index....grade-updated/

Kit price is under $10k for all four corners. Includes pretty much everything needed including a carbon cooling duct for each side in front.

Which brings us back to the original issue- why is the Porsche OE rotor so expensive?

Someone needs to make a hat that uses the ZR1 carbon rotors for Porsches... that would be a great alternative.

Not saying it is cheap, but that's somewhat reasonable compared to the Porsche price.. ($9k or so for a set of new front rotors..)
