Plus the VIN in the listing doesn't match the VIN provided in the ad for the title check.

Cars depreciate. Nature of the beast. Don't buy cars for investments. That's what land is for.

I would say $135k for a brown GT2 with low mileage is a very, very fair offer, especially if it stickered with low option cost added on. If it had $20K+ in options then I might add about $5-10k depending on options, but you said it stickered @ $195K which is pretty much no options.
You do get 3 years warranty, CL's, a little performance, some prestige and resale value for that 50K..

Guys. One of my colleagues made an unbelievable offer for (RS), earlier today. Ebayer accepted !!

He's hoping NO scam! As the response was swift, asking for confirmation if payment can be made within 24 hours of acceptance of deal.

What else should he ask the seller? Other than the usual carfax!! I know there are lots of stuff needed, but the seller asking for confirmation right away!!!

Thanks!

Please disregard the above!

Seemed too good to be true. Cause ..it is!

1) Euro version, with no records of ownership or service. Or Carfax.

2) Wants 40% payment within 24 of acceptance of offer... aaand that's when the full-color rainbow start to show.

Can't blame the Ebay guy, but my colleague for missing the obvious!

.

I emailed the GT2 RS seller about VIN no.

His response: "The VIN is EU standard and the car is not on a dealership but on my garage under my house in Aspen."

Scam.
