Audi R8 V10
Really close to trading my 2010 GT3 for a new Audi R8 V10 with manual 6 speed. Having a really tough time pulling the trigger. Internally feeling like a bungie jumpers first time off the bridge. Any advice or words of wisdom? Or will I regret this move!!!

Audi is updating the R8 for 2012 and new cars may be available later in 2012. I'd wait for the new model unless I got a huge discount on a stock vehicle.

You must be talking about Laurie. Instructed her at Roebling, and that car just plows in corners. Great and fun street car, but wouldnt take it to the track even for DE's....

With another GT3 in the garage.... why not? I cross-shopped the R8 V10 and liked it alot. The 6-speed open gate is fabulous. Unfortunately, I only went for a short test ride, so can't comment on track understeer. I bet a bit of fiddling with tire pressure and alignment will help with the push, as physics of the layout is on your side (unlike many Audis). As mentioned above, there is a '13 model coming out... recent pics don't seem to indicate major cosmetic changes. If you go for it, please do post pics and ongoing updates on likes/dislikes.
Good luck!

Aren't they doing away with the 6MT as part of the 2013 facelift?

Thanks guys, as expected mixed results with good points. The 6MT will remain for 2013 but Audi is offering a new DCT, finally! Most R8 owners are auto trans guys. Just got back from riding the GT3, what a machine! Trading the GT3 is the biggest challenge.
