Not trying to defend CL, but we probably have the most agressive track in the Country as our backyard.
Combined the FL guys have thousands of miles, and hard driven miles on the bumpiest track, and Zero failures so far.
Hope to keep that way.
I still believe that we are dealing with user error, most likely, until someone step up and do the right thing.
Sorry, but I do not agree.

It is like a 50+ pack years smoker who came in and told me he has not had a heart attack, stroke or lung cancer yet, so he concluded that smoking is not bad for your health. The smokers who died is because they didn't smoke properly...

There is enough failure out there, and when happens, it is worse than coolant leak. I really hope that no fatality will happen due to this CL problem.

How long it takes to change all 4 CL tires? Can it be done by one person say at home? Mike

I think I timed myself once. 12 mins unless I grease bolts, maybe 15?

Too long. Only if you have a rig, as a substitute for human leg, to depress the brake pedal.

I've done it by myself many times. The only times I've had to beg, borrow or steal someone to help me is when that POS one man brake pedal depressor flaked out on me (which happened more times than I'd like to admit). CarreraGT clued me into using a simple wood working clamp tool to replace that POS. Good to go!

I does take a lot longer to swap CL wheels than 5 lug. Not so bad at home, but when you are at the track, under a time constraint, and it's hot and you're sweating... well, I'd rather have the 5 lug any day!

Here is a photo showing both tools. The Irwin Quick-Grip is the way to go! Don't buy that POS on the bottom.

Agree. At home in the garage with music and cold beer the process is no big deal. At the track when you are tired and sweating and getting grease all over everything and not drinking cold beer - not as pleasant.

See! It's the cold beer that makes all the difference!
