Here's hoping - but with BMW M and MB AMG churning out dud motors these days (powerful, sure - but soulless and no longer bespoke), anything is possible.

if its not a mezger GT-1 based engine, its not a proper GTx car, its a souped up Carerra (that may well whip my *** on the track) ... just before its PTV+ wears out the rear brake pads!

Mezger block forever ... 9A1 never!

You guys sound like a bunch of air cooled old timers. Stinkin's water cooled engines have no soul.... Out with the old, in with the new. Get over it

I think AMG still has it going on. Check out the C63...that engine is anything BUT a dud. It's the baddest n/a engine coming out of Germany right now, from any manufacturer.

C63 +100!!

But my favorite God's engine gift to car the world is the 65, ideally the CL65, but even S65 keep popping up on my autotrader searches..
Detuned from 880lb torque to 734lb to save the transmission, 600+HP I'd say bespoke. Cool thing is they are the same today as in 2005. still king of the hill.

65's are time machines, you look up, see where you want to be and without kick down, you're there..

With that being said, has anyone put 25k track miles on one of these mercedes engines yet? zo6's have great engines. Till they get some track miles and then it's pop goes the piston
