Feeler for best 3.8 RS in US. Aqua/Gold
My Aqua/Gold 2010 RS may be for sale, trying to raise cash and hoping other stuff moves first so I can keep the car.
I bought the car in Atlanta after Porsche helped me secure an allocation of the first batch of cars, was able to order it just as I wanted it with the Li-Ion battery and no radio...mirror attachments, headlight squirters, shifter trim and seat belt pass-throughs painted Aqua, silver seat belts, carbon door sills and a leather key fob like the old days. The sticker was 139,800 and to my door was around 142k. It is on the RS Registry.
I took the car all apart and made every little piece perfect, down to the last bolt head, replacing with Porsche parts anything that wasn't just right. My goal was to win the National Porsche Parade Concours in Lake Charles, which was accomplished with the highest overall score of 299.1 out of 300.
Ok, I know that is not everyone's cup of tea, suffice it to say the cost was enormous but didn't add anything to the value of the car other than some neat history. I put a total of 209 miles on the car, including some shake down (private) laps at VIR where my old race shop is located to make sure everything was properly installed and working. The car is still perfect in every way, down to a booklet I used to record every time the car was started, fuel added (only GTX race fuel w/ no ethanol), driven, etc.
It has never been titled, still on MSO, comes with lots of little bits including a cover and is one of the best color combinations I've seen. I have in the low 170's invested in the car and don't intend to lose my shirt, but may have to sell in the next 30-45 days. If you are interested or know someone who might be looking for a car like this, let's make contact. Cole

First, the Scrogham family is royalty in the Porsche world
I remember touring the "old" facility in Waynesboro with your dad (Weldon), seeing all the Manhattan winners was unbelievable !!
I saw this car at the Chicago Parade....when I asked Cole how the brake calipers still had the blue stamp on them he just smiled
One of the few people I would buy a car from sight unseen
I can guarantee you it will be clean

I remember back when Cole bought this car.
Spectacular example of GT3. Sorry to hear it needs to be sold, new owner will be buying a heck of a car. Blue/Gold combo remains exceedingly rare and as a previous owner of same, still personally think of it as the best looking combo.

Cole,
Last Thanksgiving my father and I were given a personal tour by your father, Weldon Scrogham, of his shop in Waynesboro. This was setup through a mutual friend. I also met your mom, too. I even posted a series of pictures here on RL.

just wondering why a factory new car had to be taken apart to make it concours perfect? what would not be correct on a virgin porsche?
and how would one not get a perfect 300 on a factory untouched car?
curious.....
