Someone just woke me from a bad dream. I was dreaming of this crazy yachting bull**** where all gt3's were automatic and the rear wheels turned. Some doctor dreamed it up

Did not have the problem and have driven both my 3.6 and 3.8RS at the Nordschschelife. Will be there with 991RS in September. I did have the same problem in terms of car envy. Had just picked up a brand new BMW M6 V10 at the factory and brought it to the Ring. My instructor kept murmuring...great acceleration,yes....power...yes....not a GT3 though...

Crushed, I returned to Canada, already feeling deprived.

My next trip back was a GT3

I think what he may be referring to is the front end "float" of a 997 version of the 911 at speed (>100mph). 911, 911S, 911GTS...etc. Not in the 4S or turbo due to weight in front...and not in GT3 due to aerodynamic forces created in front by design. Never felt it in my GT3 but it was a real unsettling float in the 911GTS.

997.2 GT3 does note wobble. My 2007 C2 did.

I definitely had this in my 997.1 and two click of additional rebound dampening on the JRZ's really helped bring it in line.

In my young ownership experience with my GT3 I've not gone fast enough for anything like this to crop up, but in reading this thread I do wonder if TPC's DSC module would help with this issue / concern...

All 911's bob at the front on part throttle/cruise/acceleration- function of light front end and engine out back- acts as a cantilever, later models do it less and less to the point where 997's and 991's its not perceivable.
