I once put street pads in the Fiat and survived the wall at t13 in sebring.
I once installed a patched tire and survived a 110 mph blowout totalled a 325i.
I once put a set of cracked turbo twist porsche 996 turbo and survived a day at pocono north.
So, stock pads on cracked wheels and patched tires is perfectly fine, I survived.

I bet the $1 I won to the Slow911 that DD will be on patched hoohoos this weekend, and loose coolant fittings, and glyco anti-freeze.
So, i will be cautious of Yellow flags and Yellow cars...

If you're lapping in 2:28s, yes plug/patch (the one that has a rubber pipe that goes through the hole) is fine.
I quoted your post, in case you make a mess at the T17 wall, as a friendly reminder to others, just in case.
I personally dispose of track tires with any puncture, too much risk. I don't mess with wheels, I don't mess with tires, I don't mess with brakes.

I picked up a screw at sebring about 4 years ago. Tire went flat. I spun threw 5. I guess I'm answering my own question

Agreed. That would be a good deal.
$100 for a hoosier? I'll take 50!
