Very narrow, surprised they build new tracks without any runoff area. I can see the old tracks being build before the invention of seatbelts but these days....

Looks like fun in an autocross kinda way, but we will find out if there's any 5th gear to be had in a GT3 with grip and big brass ones...
Not a great motorcycle track. Armco everywhere. I got all the advertising and thought it was for the average supercar owner to go out and play with his car a little. Big ones will get you in trouble there.

Still uploading the video but here is some footage I shot at a little bit of a faster rate than Jenks had the opportunity to go. I was taking one of the councilmen from the City of Dawsonville around for a few laps. Sorry about the wind noise and lack of good GT3 sound. I didn't have another camera with me to get the in-cabin sound to mate this one up to. Next time I will get a little bit better footage.

Great track! This is how Porsche tracks should be, not the horrible, flat land, concrete plate airport tracks with mostly long connecting straights or the odd banked oval corner.

Reminds me of the ride I got with Patrick Long at Road Atlanta at what he said was 80 percent. :-)

Seth's video actually does make it look more fun at speed. Lead follow laps can make any track look boring. I timed the lap and got a high 1:34 from the start of the fencing on the front straight. Even with Seth driving, taking into account he was not really pushing it, new track surface, stock tires and waiting for the imaginary point by car, I'm a little more impressed.

Seth what do you think will be fast there? How about Cup times? 1:20-1:22?

Seth's vid is a lot better than mine and shows some speed

Dez, why did I have the stopwatch out as well and used the track out cone on the front straight and got the same time

A lot more fun when you look at it this way. Still not much room for error.
