Starting from the fact that the 991's body is lighter by 90Kg vs the 997 series, it shouldn't be that hard.
On the other hand , if they fill it up with gadgetry (and they will), I reckon it will end up 20-30 kg lighter than the 997.2GT3.

The article states that it will probably be a 7 speed manual transmission with no plans for the PDK.

Seriously doubt the validity of no PDK. With every other competing manufacturer offering a double clutch transmission, it seems unlikely they wouldn't offer PDK - albeit a highly customized version of it developed specifically for the GT3.

i love stick, but to say there's no PDK i think is foolish. manual is old. M cars and F cars are all there already....

and if it's 7 speed, i wont do manual. why not just drive a semi truck with 18 speed. who in their right mind would drive a 7 speed manual? i much rather just play with my own stick.

Its probably far from the final product but I'm not digging the rear lid and wing setup on this car.... Doesn't flow IMO...

Those of us who drive prefer single clutch in line systems to the double clutch bastardisations - wasteful weight and engineering. I drive the car I don't need the gearbox to decide what gear I am going to change into next!

PAG rides on the back of VAG DK developments. Like Ferdinand's doktorate the P in PDK is honorary.
