Default TiKORE Titanium Lug Bolts

Hey everyone, we at TiKORE Industries are excited about our new Rennlist sponsorship. We have decided to make our intro by presenting an excellent group buy to members.

https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...ro-tikore.html

First a little background on TiKORE.

TiKORE Industries (pronounced Tie-Core) was established in 2010 to serve the needs of the aftermarket automotive industry. TiKORE designs, engineers, and manufactures titanium and other alloy products at its headquarters located in Fort Lauderdale, FL (USA).

We offer titanium lug bolts and lug nuts for all brands of vehicles (custom sets as well for those folks running spacers). For Porsche we offer a two piece bolt similar to the factory bolt (without all the rust and wear) and a one piece bolt similar to many other lug bolts.

Any other questions/comments/etc? We had great success with a group purchase on Planet-9.

Regards
Joshua

Pretty nice gear Josh, might take you up on it in the summer when my car goes into hibernation. $599 is pricey for a set of lugs though...

You might have more luck selling these over on 6speed and teamspeed to the cars and coffee baller crowd. The guys here are mostly track guys and into brake pads, rotors and tires. A gurney flap on the wing is baller status to them.

I love my steel, vintage VW style lugs.

They are strong, rusty and easily replaced.

Good enough for grand-am cup, good enough for me.

These are great. I went crazy on my road and mountain bike putting Ti stuff. Actually not too expensive if you compare the weight saved ($/gm) vs carbon.

Pagani uses them!

From your original thread - Savings is 1lb/set of rotating mass which is much much more than static weight. So if you're saving 4 lbs for a set = that would be about at least 12 to 15 lbs of static weight saved IMO. I actually read somewhere the multiplier is 10X but I just find that too high so 3 to 4X is conservative. For $500, that's actually not bad.

I would be intrigued as well, the titanium would cost more than $300.

Can you do studs and nuts in Ti and what would be the price for a full set for a .1RS if doable?

I posted a question about the exact weight savings per model here :

Tough crowd.

My understanding is that the total weight reduction for a complete set of 20 lugs is about 1 Lb. Not great but it makes sense, Porsche is using aluminum on the rotating portion of their lugs to lighten it up.

My recommendation to Tikore would be the following:
- Offer the lugs with the aluminum seats instead of Titanium.
- Offer the set with the aluminum seats at a lower cost to make it more attractive.

By doing above you will further reduce the weight of your lug set and also reduce the cost. That should entice enough people to buy more. Win win for everyone.
