I think someone was selling some body panels in the classifieds the other day, Sorry to hear about your losses. This is never a fun part of learning the track. Tuff break, I really am glad to hear your not injured. Cars are repairable or replaceable but body pieces are not. If you did injure yourself it would have taken much longer to fix - ask me how I know.

Silverboy very sorry about the incident but again as others have stated it's good you're fine. Many of us have ... been there done that.
Now was this another car b/c I thought your RS was undergoing the engine build?
Best of luck.

Bud,

I'm really sorry about today, it was so painful to see it happen. Time to start the repairs/upgrades and get back on track! Would be nice to see your other toys like the 964 and black series on track

Pros do it all the time;-)

Of course that why they also say you never race you own car...

Glad you're OK and the machine is repairable...because that's all it is.

don't worry bro, you are definitely not the first person to get caught out by a hot 911 nor will you be the last! karun chandouk (f1 driver) managed to spin a GT2 RS while trying to corner it....it's all part of the 911 mystique to occasionally punish drivers It sounds like no frame damaged, so no biggie!

I am sorry to hear it bud. I am glad you are not hurt! And thank you for having the guts to post it. It makes me think twice about taking chances with my car too. Sometimes we forget it can happen to anyone. I am glad to know you are not injured.

Thanks for sharing. And really glad you`re ok.

As tempted as I am to keep track of lap times, I realize the probability of driver error will increase exponentially. I am happy to enjoy my car in a closed and safe environment and now always within my limits. I`ve learned by having 3x spins in my 996.2 GT3, but thankfully no damage to other cars or my own.

Takes a lot to be humble and admit a mistake. Good on you.

Not to worry. These cars are very durable and fixable - especially when done by the right shop. It will all come back together. And It will be pretty again too Your ego will also be Ok after some healthy introspection..

And yes - a lot of accidents come when we are dialed back in some way and not 200% focused. I assume thats what you mean by "track mode"..

But here's one question: Do you have video?? I think its absolutely critical that you always run with video. yes its a valuable learning tool. But especially when things go wrong everything happen so quickly and your visual and physical memory just isn't accurate. It may take many dozens of plays - especially in slow motion to understand what happened and what you might have done differently.

The video isn't for sharing: Its for you..

If you don't have video. Get it..

If you have video of your incident, watch as many times as you can stomach - and especially in slow motion.

Thanks for the encouraging words guys. I really appreciate it.

150% focus from now on.

In tennis - you hit out, in golf - you lose a ball...with us - it's soo painful.

Drive safely guys!

If you drive to learn i:e push yourself you will have a mishap...the cost of repair is always worse than anticipated, sorry to say, and it will take time to get it fixed, It will most likely take the driver much longer to get fixed "gain the confidence back"
I hope you are ok.....Track insurance?
