Impressive reaction and decision making skills in the heat of the moment. Please pass along my respects to him for keeping his cool.
Good decision making AFTER he crashed. He should have avoided that accident. The lucky guy was the Seat, if the spin had left him more rotated the Clio would have ploughed straight into the drivers door. Crash structures are good but 80mph straight into the door I'm not so sure. That Yas turn 2 is very tricky, so quick turning in, curb really upsets the car, and the inside wall is always looming. Same corner video below:

99% sure the airbag broke his arm.

Definitely not a PRC run group. It was either DE3 or DE4 in NASA. I don't remember which. I would feel right at home running with the PRC. Smart safe people from what I saw.

Here in Colorado it's the STis, Evos and GTRs that are the scary people. These guys head out there with 400whp and 3 days of seat time and think they can drive like they drove it in the video game. The NASA events are well controlled here, but we've got open days where you sort yourself and often they have a number of the corner worker stations unattended...

Let's not forget that they're SLAMMMMMMEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD well below their roll-center and handle like shiet...

...anyhoo, I'll be at HPDE3 at SP tomorrow. Hope it's safe and I don't hit a station wagon.

Hpde 3- u mite hate it. Head of HPDE 3 "Stevo" will tell what straightaways u can pass and they'll open up more passing on straights later on(if hpde 3 only grp no open passing but if grped with hpde 4- u follow hpde 4 rules- passing newhere). Download every session if you haven't done NASA to get your sticker. Pretty much a conga line in the morning mite get better by noon. I suggest u get in front of the line so u don't die from conga line syndrome. Lotta downtime between sessions but if u like watching races and racecars in the paddock(hopefully prc/legends and Honda challenge are there) its kinda neat. Mike

Hey, hey, hey, easy now!
Most of those slammed Evos never see the track because their owners are a bunch of morons.
I've held my own against GT3s in my Evo. Evos are running 2:08 bone stock over the top at thill, and 2:02 when modified. Nothing to laugh at. They're not Porsches, but let's not stereotype.
It's not like they're all driven by annoying Asian guys with fade hairdos..... wait.....

Finally admitting defeat....
Welcome back. You might consider a Cup though.. You like to tinker but Cup is hard to beat unless you insist on driving on the street like I do. John, clue me in too, I'm curious.

Working my *** off, 4.0's are hard to come by, but some say 996 regular shifter cup parts are also harder and more expensive to get and not to mention street illegal.
