for me, the answer is supersprint or de.
racing wheel to wheel presents too many variables with little room for contingency plan.
even though it's enormous fun, i try to avoid running in freight trains....
better to do some karting to get those types of kicks.

most times the total is 12 -15
plenty of space to run, plus marshalling and electronic red/green lights if incident occurs.

I know both drivers personally. The "crashing" driver took his eyes off the road and then panicked in the transition from T2 and T3. Its pretty fast through there and the cars tend to funnel.
Both cars were in pretty bad shape. I think write offs. But that corner is notorious, you're always "expecting" a spun car after the blind spot. Rookie mistake and it almost cost him quite dearly. What I could never understand is if he maintained his trajectory coming out of the corner instead of steering sharp left he would have cleared the SEAT!!!

wow, decent hit at what seems to be 4th gear into what looked like a parked yellow leon cupra. If the passenger door didn't open that would have been burned legs in the very least most likly more. Thank goodness for NOMEX and smart decision making. Things could have been much worse, Your friend was lucky to say the least. Impressive reaction and decision making skills in the heat of the moment. Please pass along my respects to him for keeping his cool.

but in racing, "most" take "calculated" risk.
in DE, beginners are fine
veteran's are good
it's those who are at the low end of fast group or high end of medium group. they know enough to be dangerous to everyone.... those ppl scare me. i know bc i used to be one of those....
of course, the organization makes a BIG difference.

but i bet it's in the NASA sessions.
if you pull anything that looks remotely stupid, GOD... erh i mean masuo will put your head in his blender and drink it for lunch....
it's one of the best groups to run with, PRC that is.
