Default the long, horrific...wait.

can someone read me a bedtime story and rock me to sleep. i've adopted a 3.8 gt3 from the west coast, and it's on it's 2000 mile journey home. i'm looking forward to a productive and nurturing, give/take relationship, but the car is still 3-4 days away, and i've already used all the drugs (legal and illegal) in the house in attempt to cope with the anxiety of the wait. it feels like i've quit smoking, drinking, coffee and sex on the same day. i've argued with the cat 4 times today. all he does is sit there like an *******.

Is the cat in any way connected to the vow of celibacy and the Freudian use of the word *******?

Also, I take it the cat won the four arguments.

Only 3 or 4 days??? My last car shipment took 3 weeks to go 2200 miles!!

Trust me, nothing helps ease the pain of waiting! Just keep your mind occupied on other things like- how can I get rid of this cat without my wife finding out? Stuff like that. (by the way let me know if you figure that out, I have two).

PS - I feel your pain. Having separation anxiety. Gave my 3.8L up for adoption from West to East Coast. Going to a good home.

The wait will be a lot worse after Monday when it's 50+ degrees outside.

Wow, this is so true .... 50 degrees in the midwest with snow piles melting and trickle chargers running.

The wait will be worth it.

Keep yourself busy.

Do not celebrate the night before the car arrives and get all hung over etc.

Don't even bother driving it until after the first good rainfall to wash away all the salt on the roads.

i'm worried the night before i'll just jump in the wifes car and start driving west to intercept the truck! "thanks buddy, i'll take it from here." i'm not opposed to unloading that bastard in a walmart parking lot in the middle of nebraska.

Now THAT will be the hard part... but you've got to do it.

You are doomed, but it's all part of living in these northern climates. Waiting for Spring can be frustrating, but it is so gratifying when it finally shows up. That first mini skirt or halter top is always a sight to behold

it's a beauty.

white color w/5500mi
pccb
sport buckets
carbon interior
front lift
sharkwerks bypass
sport chrono
some yellow bits in the interior (belts, gauges)
porsche factory stripper pole in the back seating area

i'm using intercity for transport. they couldn't be nicer people. they had a truck in monterey when i called, so they sent him right over to sharkwerks to get mine. SW gave it a once-over and babysat it for a couple days while the seller and i got our papers together. lucky timing, really. only spoke with alex and dan on the phone, but they seem like exceedingly good dudes. if i lived within 500 miles, it would be my shop of choice. many thanks to them.
