Ferrari's most-powerful car revealed .....
I haven't had a Ferrari since 1991 (F 40 ) but since the 991 hasn't grown on me, this car could just possibly make my next purchase an Fcar ! I liked the looks of the 550/575 and I liked the 599 except the front looked like a 90's Camaro and the back looked like a '97 Toyota Supra....... But this car is friggin BadAss !

Ferrari’s answer to the 690 hp Lamborghini Aventador?
The 730 hp F12berlinetta.
The Italian automaker’s latest supercar is also its most powerful. The front-engine coupe featuring a naturally-aspirated 7.3-liter V12 with what’s sure to be a screaming redline of 8,700 rpm.
Review: 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4
Ferrari says the rear-wheel-drive car is capable of accelerating to 124 mph in 8.5 seconds, about as long as an average car takes to get to 60 mph. The top speed is 211 mph.
The compact two-seater is smaller, lighter and more aerodynamic than the Ferrari 599 it replaces, helping it achieve a 30 percent increase in fuel efficiency despite the performance gains.
Combined with the power, a 76 percent increase in downforce and a magnetorheological suspension system allow the F12berlinetta to lap Ferrari’s Fiorano test track in 1:23, faster than the company’s legendary $659,330 Enzo of 2002.
Pricing for the F12berlinetta has not been announced, but the 599 currently lists for $410,000.
The F12berlinetta will make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

You might be the only person in the world cross-shopping a half-million dollar Ferrari and a hundred thousand dollar Porsche;-)
I dunno about the styling...looks like the Subaru BRZ to me with left-over Alfa 8C taillights.

A 720hp rwd car
- while I would take one and I think it looks very nice, that is enough HP to kill most people pretty quickly
- like a nuclear weapon, you should need a missile key to disengage the safeties on that car for your own protection

- 740Hp from a 6.3 V12 with a 8,700 rpm redline, crazy sound files available at Fiat.com.
- 54% of weight on the rear axle, close to a Cayman weight distribution.
- 155 lbs lighter than the 599 GTB.
It will help to set the 599 GTO prices on the realistic level where they should be.
The car is stupid good looking, similar lines to one of my favorites.

Hard to tell without seeing it in person. I have a 599 now, a great car but I am not sure how 120 more hp (more hp is always good) does much. 150lbs is not much. I have an SL65 now with 600hp and 740lbs of torque. It is not a killer. Like Clint Eastwood said "A man needs to know his limitations".
