That is exactly the right attitude.

+1. I honestly think they will, but it will be after the 305 RA1 appears. The differences are subtle, but once you experience the difference, it's pretty appreciable. Either way, it's a big win for the Porsche community with a RA1 re-release.

If the RA1 is really re-released in either 245/40/18 and 305/35/18 or 255/35/18 and 315/30/18 I'm going back to 18".

If indeed the new RA1's are available before my current 2 sets of 305's wear out, I'll have 2 pairs of 335's for you guys.

He will get it. I have faith in the Little Irish.
Nick has one weekend of hot laps and he sound like Chris Hall now

While I appreciate the vote of confidence, a 2:23.000 is good enough for me with this car for the time being. I'll try to clean it up a bit just so I can say I did a 2:22 for the record books. All things being equal (driver skill, tires, etc...), the .2 cars will always be faster than mine. The only way I can keep up with Randy with my current setup would be to take more chances or heavily mod the car (hello sharky ). I don't have the HP or aero to truly hang with him, even if I had the same skill set. I'm going to focus on consistency for the time being and go from there. Ultimately my goal would be to do 4-5 sub 223 laps, back to back. Then I'll know I have this figured out. Sort of....

But it will take you 6 months of research to find a set of wheels

I'm bringing vodka next time. You have my word on it. My wife has promised to reorganize my trailer to include a chilling system for Russia's finest.

Finally someone with some priorities

I bring beer on Friday.....everyone drinks it

Saturday I have no beer, someone has to go get some

Sunday I am busy instructing, helping nick, giving burke a ride.....I get done no beer

no wonder I usually stick with going to teh track with Peter......beer is more inportant than fuel in the car

Yes, Vodka is good for laptimes, less bloaded. DE adrenaline is best hangover cure I know, just shake off the dizzynes and you're good. I'm only hungover out of the car.

Sure is, followed closely by food. You have to pick your friends, they are easy to recognise, they bring Vodka and beer.

LOL! Is Nick offering Coaching for a fee yet?
Even on Hoosiers your 2:23 is fast in your car, on hoosiers 2:22 is very fast. I think your goal is a good one, doable but hard! I think to keep up, you need slicks or more cheater parts. Neither Randy or me went faster then 2:23 in GT3 on RA1's. So I think you are closer than you think.

You stick up for a friend, and it goes unnoticed. Burke is still bitter.

I made adjustments last weekend....

I was barely any quicker than my buddy in a similarly setup car on AD08 in the end but I learned soo much driving a car that I'm still not 100% up to speed in.

Kuhmo's are a tempting choice this year but I think I'm going to stay on a slow tire (NT-01's) until I'm 100% confident I'm driving the car to it's limits.

Agreed. I spent a few on-track sessions (with huge and slow traffic) with him 14 months ago. He has the skills, his lines are clean and solid, but as you said it's all about entry speed and comfort. And frankly, as others have said there is nothing wrong with that. A good dude who is having lots of fun, and has gotten pretty danged quick!

What 19" Hoosiers R6 do you run on a 997.2 GT3? Stock size in the front is 235/35-19. Hoosier has them. However, they don't have the 305/30 - 19. Do you go to 315/30-19? Or, do you run a different tire size combination?
