Question for the DE guys who run Hoosiers?

+1. I honestly think they will, but it will be after the 305 RA1 appears. The differences are subtle, but once you experience the difference, it's pretty appreciable. Either way, it's a big win for the Porsche community with a RA1 re-release.

Burke can catch them or at least get close, just needs to get out of his comfort zone. The lines are there, just faster speed for turn in. But I also would feel like **** if he pushed it, and crashed BumbleBee. That would suck....
He will get it. I have faith in the Little Irish.

While I appreciate the vote of confidence, a 2:23.000 is good enough for me with this car for the time being. I'll try to clean it up a bit just so I can say I did a 2:22 for the record books. All things being equal (driver skill, tires, etc...), the .2 cars will always be faster than mine. The only way I can keep up with Randy with my current setup would be to take more chances or heavily mod the car (hello sharky ). I don't have the HP or aero to truly hang with him, even if I had the same skill set. I'm going to focus on consistency for the time being and go from there. Ultimately my goal would be to do 4-5 sub 223 laps, back to back. Then I'll know I have this figured out. Sort of....

I bring beer on Friday.....everyone drinks it
Saturday I have no beer, someone has to go get some
Sunday I am busy instructing, helping nick, giving burke a ride.....I get done no beer
no wonder I usually stick with going to teh track with Peter......beer is more inportant than fuel in the car

Even on Hoosiers your 2:23 is fast in your car, on hoosiers 2:22 is very fast. I think your goal is a good one, doable but hard! I think to keep up, you need slicks or more cheater parts. Neither Randy or me went faster then 2:23 in GT3 on RA1's. So I think you are closer than you think.

I ran a set of Pilot Sport Cup's down to the cords last year on some very similar advise from a very respected driver. I think they had 36 heat cycles on them when they finally corded which is WAY past their prime for PSC's. I was barely any quicker than my buddy in a similarly setup car on AD08 in the end but I learned soo much driving a car that I'm still not 100% up to speed in.
Kuhmo's are a tempting choice this year but I think I'm going to stay on a slow tire (NT-01's) until I'm 100% confident I'm driving the car to it's limits.

What 19" Hoosiers R6 do you run on a 997.2 GT3? Stock size in the front is 235/35-19. Hoosier has them. However, they don't have the 305/30 - 19. Do you go to 315/30-19? Or, do you run a different tire size combination?
