Default OZ Wheels

Hi guys- looking for opinions for track wheels for my new track toy!

The OZ wheels look like a good option, the standard wheel is lighter by a few pounds then the stock wheel, while the forged wheel is really light, like 17 pounds and 21 pounds.

The forged OZ wheel will make me cry a bit when I buy them, but they look like a great wheel for the track and seem very lust worthy!

Anyone have comments or use either of these wheels, pictures on a 997.2 GT3 would be great as well.

Thanks!

I think there is a pic of DRL's green gt3rs in this thread somewheres - Lots of great wheels for track.

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...-thread-2.html

OZ 's seem like great wheels for the price.

It was harder that I thought to find some pics ( I will keep looking for you)

Nice pictures! That's the forged wheel in the last picture, not surprised the car has a racing number!

Nope, I run the cast wheels. At the price - $600 per - I figure that I will get my money's worth pretty quickly. ...and yes, I love them. Only problem is that they don't come in 18's, so, tire choices are "limited" if you listen to those that track more frequently, i.e. Trakcar and Izzone

Can't go wrong with the best value for the dollar 19" OZ's unless you have a warehouse full of 18" RA1's :-)

I've seen pictures of your "stash"!

I have nothing against it, I just want in on it!

I know that's the tradeoff, but also not planning on towing the car, unless it is far away, so I'll be running the MPSC's at first and driving to most of the tracks here in PACNW. I ran MPSC's on my M3 and once the pressures were set right, they performed very well.

Not a GT3, but yellow...

19" Ultraleggera on that one, and 18" Alleggeritas on the current GT3. Great bang for the buck. You just can't go wrong.

Cups are a good all-around tire in 19", but I hear it can get pretty wet in the NW, so the Super Sports might be a good option as well.

If you're running in wet track conditions, the SuperSports are hands down the better choice

Have the Superforgiattas, and going to track them in two weeks. They are lighter than the stock GT3 CLs. Crappy Cell Phone shots -- sorry.
