It's their new vintage series. I like the 501's and depending on the weight, I would be leaning towards a set of these for my white .1 in gold. It's either these or the new P40s Conicals.

On another note, still trying to figure out whether I should go with the +46 or the +51 front offsets.

They're not the lightest wheels out there, but who really cares unless you're splitting hairs on the track not that there's anything wrong with that approach to ownership either.

I think that 991 looks incredible. Jury's out until I see one properly lowered and setup on a 997 (in 19s).

on a narrow body 2007-2009 GT3 or GT3RS you want 18x9 et50.....et46 is going to stick way out past the fender. On a 2010-2011 GT3RS you can go et46 in front.

IMO the 501 look like they belong on a VW. They look good on that 991 rendering, but I don't know about on a gt. have you looked at the competition line at all?

I don't like the Porsche wheel too much, but the Ferrari retro wheel is cool.

mesh gold ones (501s) for my .1 RS in 18x9 and 18x12 are only $6800 plus freight...

So I must have fallen asleep in wheel class... people actually pay $7000 for a set of wheels?

I have had multiple sets of them all... fikse, champion, ccw, jongbloed, BBS, etc... I would never pay basically $7K delivered for any wheel set, much less one that weighs 23 lbs in 18 x 9.... well maybe for bbs mag. monoblocks... those are pretty special.

I do not think I am the target HRE market for the vintage line as I primarily use my whip on the track

Peace

:-)

If they're truly charging that much for these wheels (19$ cost more), then I wish them the best of luck selling them even to this rich market. There's nothing here that tells me from a function standpoint why they're worth ~$1K more than your Competition HRE models. Yes, I'm a sucker for style, but my appetite has its limits.

I'm assuming that you're pricing these based on quotes provided by your preferred vendors or are you typing list?

Again, my thing is, these look heavy since they're carving out less metal from the centers (especially the Ferrari/Lambo look models).

While I applaud HRE for going this direction like Porsche did in re-releasing updated Fuchs, the pricing seems a bit extraordinary for non-extraordinary wheel construction.

Based on our 18x9 baseline, I'm guessing the 19x12s will be in the high 20s, low 30s aka stock territory.

P.S. I do love me some of that ducktail aerokitted 991 on 20s there - nice

Quote directly from hre
So I am guessing that is list pricing
So safe to assume your local dealer might be below list

If I bought hre it would be r40
All of their products are high quality and they have a great reputation for service

I'm a big HRE fan. Looks like pricing is right in line then if the $6800 for 18s is list. You can probably pick them up closer to $5K for 18s then.
