Default HANS Sport I vs II

Any impressions or feedback on which one is preferred in real world use?

Thanks!

me too please, this is my next thing to get. I am wondering if the pro CF is needed or if the sport plus is fine.
I have heard that its mainly a weight thing with the pro version and the sport plus only comes in certain sizes. but the sport and the pro come in all sizes

Looking for opinions on the Sport I vs Sport II, not about the Pro version.
Thx.

Just got a Sport II last week. The post area behind the helmet is shorter and the edges are rounded. Understand this simplifies entering and exiting the car. Couple track Bud's said they prefered the II over the I. Anyway, they convinced me as did the folks in the shop where I purchased it.

interesting point space coast gt3 - getting in an out of the car with a helmet is an issue, but with a hanz it must be even worse, Having a rounded edge and shorter back section could prove to be helpful.

Peter get the 30 degree model. It's more comfortable for bigger guys.

if you track over 2 hours per track day, get the lightest you can afford. the few onces does matter.

The Sport II isn't much more $$ ($50?) and is ~ .5 .lbs lighter than the Sport I. It is still .75 .lbs heavier than the Professional model.

To me the weight doesn't matter that much for HPDE...the weight is just resting on your shoulders and doesn't really make much of a difference in that short period of time because you are strapped in tightly.

+1. You start feeling the weight after prolonged use.

Yes.

Mine is about 4 years old. Only the pro was available at the time.

Spendy but it's very light carbon fibre.

Do the hanz post anchors come with the hanz ?

When buying a hanz do the anchors come in the box or with the helmet?
