Ok great you pinned them but the glue is still old and can leak at some point
So what is the point if only half the repair is done? I can see not welding them but at least pull them re glue and then pin

The idea is to keep the fitting from blowing apart and causing a catastrophic event. I replaced all my fittings. The bbi fittings are quite a bit better than the factory pieces

I don't recall reading many (any really) instances of these pipes leaking. Seems they are OK 'til / if they become disconnected from the engine. Of course if a pipe has in fact popped out, then it would have to be re-glued prior to reassembly and pinning. But I'm not sure I see the benefit of re-gluing a pipe that hasn't failed. Pinning it in place should be a good solution.
