Trofeo Tire Pressures
First I have to say that Orbit did a fantastic job of fettling the GT3 in prep for this weekend at PBIR.They are artisans.
So, Trofeos. Does anyone have some real world experience of P Zero Trofeos in the heat of South Florida and could you share your experiences regarding correct tire pressures please?
Im at PBIR on Saturday and it's notoriously abrasive and rough on tires, I don't want to toast my new and sticky Trofeos too soon.
Thanks.

I believe on the Pirelli Trofeo website they list pressure per weight on car and general alignment specs.

I looked on the Pirelli Website first and all they say is:
"P Zero™ Trofeo has a quite stiff construction and does not usually require higher pressures for racetrack use. It is designed for use at a pressure of approximately 2 bar, to be adjusted according to the type of car."
That's pretty vague that's why I'm asking for real world experience. BTW 2 bar is 29 psi.

30 Lbs hot is how I've run them. Very stiff side walls. I use them now for wet track tires start at 25lbs cold all around

If these have real stiff sidewall you can probably run less camber...which is nice for street driving. What are your alignment settings now?

I had a set and ran them at 32 and 34 hot. Unfortunately, they lasted only 1.5 days of track use. They actually seemed to ride softer than the Corsa Systems and a bit quieter too.

I'd probably start at around 25f 27r cold and bleed down from there as the morning progresses. Aiming for 29f 31r and check tire temps with a pyro and adjust.

There are a couple threads discussing trofeo's pressure and camber etc. The earlier generation of Trofeo's (if indeed they have been updated) liked a tonne of camber otherwise as Savyboy notes above the outside row of blocks will disappear at an alarming rate.
I suggest around 30 all around hot but always adjust based on wear etc. I would do a couple mid-session pits to check pressure and wear to be safe.

My GTS on Toyo R888 wore the best at -2.3 forunt and -1.8 rear. For MPSC I am now running that was too little of camber so I went up to 2.5 front and -2 rear. Seems to be ok but might like a little more camber.
I think I'm going to try the new Trofeo R when GMG gets them in.

I hope this helps...
Pirelli P Zero™ Trofeo
Tire Set-up for Circuit Driving
With its stiff construction, P Zero™ Trofeo does not necessarily need extra pressure to deliver performance. In fact, it is designed to run at pressures around 30 PSI – finite adjustments depend on vehicle type.
Critical to understanding the set-up is to appreciate that this pressure is the “operating pressure” of the tire when it is fully warmed up to working temperature and that the difference in temperature between “hot” and “cold” tires can be very significant, typically 7 to 8 PSI.
Set-up procedure: Set the tire pressures when cold to approximately 6 PSI less than the required operating pressure. Drive the car on the circuit for 3 – 4 laps to bring the tires up to temperature, re-enter the pit lane and immediately reset the pressures to the required operating pressure. Continue to monitor and correct the “hot” pressures after each track session if that is possible.
Pirelli recommends the use of normal compressed air to inflate the tire, providing the above procedures are followed. Specialist gasses such as nitrogen are not required unless the air source suffers from excessive humidity contamination. Always us a high quality air pressure gauge for consistent results. The use of metal rather than rubber valve stems is recommended as these are more resistant to high temperature.
The track is your road, but roads are not racetracks.
Warning: P Zero™ Trofeo is D.O.T. approved for road use – affording drivers the freedom to dirve their P Zero™ Trofeo-fitted vehicle to the track if desired. Along the way, Pirelli recommends drivers follow all applicable driving laws and exercise common sense while behind the wheel. If driving on very wet surfaces where aquaplaning may occur, Pirelli advises prudent driving at reduced speed.
