997.1 3RS vs 997.2 3RS: Suspension and tire sizes
Dear all,
I am wondering what are the exact differences between the suspension components of a 997.1 and 997.2 3RS?
Also, will I be able to run 245/35/19 and 325/30/19 tires on a 997.1 3RS?
Thank you for your kindly help!

Yes, you can run those tire sizes on the 997.1RS.
I have run 265's on the front and 345 rears on my 997.1RS successfully with stock wheels.
The suspension mounting points are all the same on the 997.1 and 997.2.
Anything that fits the 997.1, will fit the 997.2.
The stock PASM electronics are different and not compatible however, so i wouldnt bother trying to swap stock shocks between the two.
Aftermarket options are better anyhow.

The one real difference on the mk2 vs the mk1 is the slightly stiffer stock spring rates - this potentially does matter if you are considering a taller front tire - ie a 245/35/19 is taller than a 235/35/19. But in terms of physical measurements they are the same.
