Default Annoying starting issue with GT3

Anyone else having to fiddle with the key several times and even lock/unlock the car to get it to start? It began doing this last month, now becoming more frequent. Asking for the clutch to be depressed while it already is.
Thx

Could be a simple as a failing switch, if you still have warranty, hae the dealer look at it.

Will do. Still under warranty.
Also need to fix a glitch with the passenger window switch, window stutters up and down at times.

Window sounds like it needs a little grease, again let the dealer do it.

Apparently this is is a more common problem of late according to my dealer.
Happened to me!

Guess they got a bad lot of interface switches.

The window issue should have a fix. Needs a diagnosis. C'mon, Setteling for a shuttering window is not impressive for Porsche.

Seen a few starters become faulty but otherwise the ignition switch was a common failure on 996s...

Is this the contact switch on the clutch pedal assembly?

VW and Porsche have shared parts on many platforms, if a faulty switch is the only issue on a 2 year old car, no big deal.

I have the same problem, are you saying it's the ignition switch in the dash that needs replacing. I thought it was a bad starter, it helped when I rocked the car a bit.

This should be a recall if the switch is faulty.
