I drove NT-01 as my daily and track tires on my track prep 2009 Subaru STI.
Great tires, and trust they get really loud when slicks, and fun to drive in heavy rain.
-3.0 front and -1.5 camber. awd that's what saved me tons of times in the rain. Subaru rocks !!! AWD and camber can get you out of trouble when it rains on slicks !

I had a terrible experience with R6's and my lambo coming back from Sebring. The rain was terrible and lost from and rear at the same time in the straight line. Terrible feeling with up coming traffic. never again.

LOL Driving slicks or near slicks (like the R6) on the street is not wise. In addition to zero tread (read: hydroplaning, as you saw), the carcasses are very thin. The smallest nail that might be a non-event with a street tire or even an NT01 or RA1 becomes a flatbed home with an R6.

I know that, I have to tell you that the Subaru with NT01 wan't bad at all .... 12K miles, and daily driven car.
R6's of course not so good, and trust me, please don't do it at home

^^ I got caught coming from Willow Springs back to Orange County in a massive storm on slicks. One of the most memoribal and stressful days of my life.

15-25mph on the 5 South if I was lucky, traffic blowing by me, Never again.

Me too. I have six track days on them and probably 10k miles on them. They're rock hard at this point. The noise and wet weather performance is a little annoying though....

I've never driven on real slicks like all you ballers but I've had some scary driving on worn out RA1 and R888 driving back home.

[QUOTE=TRAKCAR;9204539]Yes, that's why I line up first add a little too much air to RA1's and try to put half a lap on slick boy and have them chase me through traffic LOL.

When I had my first GT3 I bought 10 sets of completely worn out Hoosiers R6 for $250.00. Some lasted a day before cording some corded in the first session. It was cheap and fun to learn the car as it was different almost every session. After 2009 I have only driven RA1's including at Mosport, but our stach is running low fast.

I've never tried RA1's or Pirelli's, should buy a set. I really like the Michelin Pilot Sport cups I've used them on my 996 Turbo and GT2. Haven't found a tire with more feedback and grip. Video link to the first track day at Mosport in the GT2 last year.
