Can this be right? Gen 1 vs 2

not RS's, but here's my .1 vs my friend's .2 regular GT3.
.2 is camera car
but you can also see from this video below that a flubbed shift or more aggressve take-off by the other car has a massive effect
(same two cars)
will probably get to run .2 RS vs 4.0 RS in the next month

Yes I thought with the .2 gearing I would lose initially but didn't. He also is a better driver as he competes regularly on track dedicated cars and holds the fastest time at our local track - BRC.
I really think it's a combination of my engine being looser and less unsprung weight that made the difference. But heck, with his tune plus Akra he should be running close to 450HP. But then again, all gen 2 owners have to do is lessen their unsprung weight and I'm sure we'll see the difference in acceleration between the two.

1:47 i believe, with a stripped, race prepped Evo 6. though limited to 300whp due to regulations.
a stock .2 GT3 did it in 1:49, on an imperfect lap.
we'll probably see the Evo driver (aformentioned former works touring car driver) attempt it in his .2 RS sometime in 2012. hopefully.
