Roger that. What a waist. That build shows how little PBH really knows about this model RS and what it was made for.

maybe it was an customer order and they backed out. To cut the dealer a little slack, their market is different. A lot of people the shiploads of money and drive the car to the Saint Regis or Ink just to park it out front. Never to hit a track or even canyon road.

Of course nobody on this site but I am sure the LA guys know what I am saying,.

I love it.

Baller / posser will buy it. He will not like the all black interior and he'll be jonesing for the bordello red interior instead and sell it after cruising south beach for a few years.

I buy it cheap cause no one will want to buy it and be made fun of, never mind track junkies buying a car with al the luxo baller stuff.

I put in a new clutch and go to DE in style for 50 cents on the dollar

Very few of the options add significant weight and several reduce it. The front axlelift adds a bit, but is easily reversible. Most of the electronic stuff is negligible, while the ceramics and lithium ion battery actually reduce the weight significantly. I agree about the seats, but if you want the fire extinguisher, those are the seats. Only lightweight item missing is the lights, but they are not nearly as effective as the ones spec'd. I went through all this. Many of the listed options - sound plus, for example - are required with other options. Surprised at $229k without PTS or Porsche Exclusives options - although those carbon fiber bits (more weight savings!) are not inexpensive.

If I recall correctly, the front axle lift weighs something like 12 lbs. I know it all adds up but it is a really useful gadget and apparently, a bit of genius engineering to get something so light to do that much work. Even with long ramps and ramp extenders, I still need to use the lift to keep the spoiler from scraping when getting it on a trailer.
