Hi there everyone,
I just wanted to introduce myself. After years of debating on which car to get next I purchased a 2007 GT3 with 20k. I live in Minnesota and with temps in the low 40s I only took it out for one ride. It was a bit disappointing because there was no way to push it. The traction just wasn't there. So I decided to put it in the garage for some Clear Bra work. I started by taking off the Rear Wheel impact area kit. It was yellow and beat up from a few years of use. After taking off those pieces I decided to wrap the entire car. I used Xpel Technologies patterns and the pieces fit great. There was no need for a razor. They have a great kit selection for the GT3. Full hood, fenders, mirrors, doors, roof, sunroof, rear bumper, rockers and headlights. After I was done with the install the car looked amazing but it just looked naked. Something was just missing. I decided to try and cut the new 3M carbon fiber film on the plotter. It worked great. I cut the Rear wheel impact area kit, rear spoiler, and front splitter. I think its just the right touch of carbon with out going over board and destroying the car. You know the cars that have so much you get dizzy looking at it.
The way I looked at it was for real carbon fiber the front splitter was $700 -$900 with carbon it was only $100. The way I see it is the front splitter is going to get scrapped. PERIOD! its not a matter of wether but when. So for a $100 I will re do it whenever. I will post up some photos soon. I just thought I would say hi.
