Give it some time...and some miles. When I first bought the 997.2 GT3, I thought it was a bit sluggesh as well. After several track days, hanging out in the upper rev range, the car does change. Roll on power (on the street) is much stronger now.
It's still not going to hang with a turbo or massive displacement V8 on the straights, but it by no means is slow.

I think a lot of people think the 'feeling' of TQ makes it seem faster than it really is. The GT3 is not slow at all, it's a quick car for what it is.
Take to a real track and then watch it leave the 6gt2 in every corner. Power and speed are nothing if you do not have the skills as a driver, to harness them.
