Question about RS 3.8 fender flares
Hi there,
A quick question I'm hoping someone can answer. I was on Gert's site yesterday and noticed that the RS 3.8 fender flares are stuck on with tape. The question is, how does this allow for wider tires, when it's just an additional item added onto an existing fender?
If you add a wider tire to the front, the tire would contact the fender on compression. Adding a fender flare would not prevent the tire from hitting the fender. Is there more to the fender flare than just sticking it on (ie, cutting down the front fender?).
I love the look of the wider front, but am wondering how it works under the skin.

Only there to minimize stone chips (and aesthetics). If you want more clearance you need to go with the carbon fenders off the GT2 RS or RS 4.0 or go aftermarket.
