Has any 997.2 GT3's had coolant failures?
I was just wondering if any 997.2 GT3's have had coolant failures. I know there were various failures on 07-08 models, but dont recall hearing any new model failures.
Just curious, thats all....

IIRC either Kyrocks or another red .2 owner lost a pipe at around 2k miles. Pretty sure the owner is a regular track rat. It was enough for me to swap to water wetter.

Use water and water wetter so you don't mess up the track.

Just blindly optimistic that even though Porsche hasn't recognized the coolant problem, they somewhere maybe made a little adjustment for the new motors.
Mike, from what I read, water wetter is obviously safer, but voids warranty for the motor. In the event of a coolant failure, good luck getting it covered if they discover water wetter....

^ u know if u still running coolant and it let's go you're car will snap wo even a chance of catching it and u hit a wall(check out rl 6gt3 post "coolant failures" there's a video). Who cares about warranty at that point. U lose out on resale value and so will the other cars behind u. Mike

^ I know the realistic reasons why water wetter would never damage a motor, but when has dealers ever made sense about warranties. Porsche officials made it painfully clear that if they saw water wetter in a coolant failure motor, warranty would be void end of story....

What is the basis for "Porsche officials made it painfully clear..."? If the coolant line lets go and dumps, there will be no coolant left to examine. Also, if the motor throws a rod or internally lets go, I'd love to see them argue/prove that water wetter was the cause.

Chris, water wetter is pink. Trust me, they know if you used Water Wetter. Coolant failures dont typically caused engine failures, although they can if you keep driving. Would be a long suck filled fight with them saying wetter caused line to burst.
Sharky, I had a minute of hope from not hearing of any 997.2 failures. Thank you for absolutely crushing that feeling.... Damn you

Mine shows: Below minimum, is this a sign of trouble starting?

Possibly a slow leak somewhere but not a fitting failure... They usually just let go and you get a rapid coolant dump.... May be worth getting it checked at the dealer as you're obviously still under warranty.
