Has any 997.2 GT3's had coolant failures?

Just blindly optimistic that even though Porsche hasn't recognized the coolant problem, they somewhere maybe made a little adjustment for the new motors.
Mike, from what I read, water wetter is obviously safer, but voids warranty for the motor. In the event of a coolant failure, good luck getting it covered if they discover water wetter....

Kind of hoping that Porsche improved the quality of the bonding agent (and process) with the newer motors...
...but not so sure anymore, thanks to Sharky
Not likely, it would be great if there were warning signs. Can you smell the glycol or see a puddle under the car

I was wondering with respect to that lever on top of coolant expansion tank- what's it function? I remember years back Mooty says 6cup has it opened(lever up). Mike

heading to laguna seca for 2 days this coming weekend... now I have this on my mind, great. Actually I have had one of my fittings let go at willow springs.. no carnage. I also had my large upper passenger side hose blow on a very tight windy mountain road while not obeying the speed limit. Luckily nothing happened. the warning light come on and I waited on the side of the road for a flatbed.

If you're up there, you could always leave the car up with Sharky and have the pinning job done then fly back to get her. Thought has crossed my mind about doing it. If you're there, come say hi.

I had a failure on track. Although, to be fair, not the same type of failure that you are interested in, but good to make others aware of. Here is the brief:
During tranny & engine removal/install a bracket that holds a coolant hose for the tranny was broken. Tech didn't notice the damage, or perhaps chose to ignore it. As a result, coolant hose sags, wears on half shaft during suspension travel. It spun me in a hairpin, me ending up pointing the wrong direction on the apex. Thankfully, I wasn't hit nor did I hit anything. It got "repaired" in the paddock, so I could drive her home. Once home, it was fixed under warranty, as the dealer who did the original work was held responsible.

Less or no cleanup time with water wetter. A laid out coolant strip track is closed. Cars can still run on track. It'll evaporate fairly quickly esp on a hot day. More track time for everyone. Mike

Everything is now welded (all 7 fittings) after a tank slapper on the uphill at Lime Rock and two other cars spun out (no damage to any of us than God). I also now use water-wetter; 2007 GT3.
I have not heard anything about GT3.2's but then again, glue is still in use in these cars. Sorry.
