Default Another RS 4.0 - photos fixed!

Dear all,
I thought some of you might find several pictures of another 4.0 interesting. The car was picked up on October 6th, driven 600km to a track. Unfortunately, due to illness at that time, I was not able to drive it at the track that weekend. I drove it back another 800km to Manthey, where it has just been prepped for the next season. I hope I will be able to drive it in earnest still before the roads get salted, but I doubt. In any case, I cannot wait for the start of the next season.
I have included a few pre-delivery and delivery photos I thought would show something not already seen. You can recognize all the options the car had been ordered with (or without) from the pictures. I have borrowed the picture of the lightweight battery from our fellow Rennlister cali2121 as I forgot to take my own. I hope that is ok, and will remove it if not.
Continues...
Best, w

Default 4.0 at Manthey

...continued
Just driving through the gates at Manthey on a gloomy, drizzly morning on Oct 10, with sound of screaming cars hanging in the air already at 7:30am was mesmerizing. I truly felt incredibly privileged and humbled to be there, with my own very special car, which I would leave to be worked on by people with such an amazing racing track record.
I had them work on alignment (rotated struts included), brakes (fluid, braded lines, Endless endurance pads) and safety (front cage, battery kill switch).
A point to note is that it is impossible to install the top side bars from the new front cage that comes with two bars per side if one keeps the original door cards. I might go with the carbon Manthey insides with original doors, as I am too concerned with the lack of side impact protection of Cup doors.

I can only wish that I could give the car justice it deserves, although I kind of know that I never will. I will try, though.
Best, wurlie

Congratulations! I don't think flickr wants images linked to other websites. your img url tags don't point to the photos but the flickr page itself. here is the link for your photos.

A man with a plan!

Congrats!

Very strange that the upper side bars don't fit.
I am not in front of my laptop but I think the door panels are identical to the 3.8RS ones.
And the cage fits the 3.8..

Anyway details!

Had the same kill switch before..but this setup with the carbon panel is brilliant.

Love the cage, a perfect accessory for that car.

Awesome! Manthey is no joke. They are rotating the struts because of the aggressive track alignment set up, right?

Thanks all. Struts are indeed rotated to achieve more camber in the front.
