Jurica! WOW! Stripper- CDR-30 delete, LW headlights, LiON, factory Clubsport with Euro seats. Added braided brake lines. So sweet! Serious track weapon. Nicely done my friend, nicely done! Love the pics in Mantheys shop as well.
Any chance for detail on that kill switch , how it operates and parts involved?

I have heard that when sitting idle there has been instances of the lithium battery getting so hot that they have caught on fire. I was just wondering if the kill switch was to prevent this problem from occurring or for something else?

I removed mine because my lithium battery has an integrated kill switch, otherwise I would have kept the OEM unit. It's great and race tested in the cup cars.
PS. first time I hear of exploding Porsche Li-ion batteries. But it's plausible with a failed alternator/regulator.. Lithium batteries can and will explode if overcharged.
On the other hand I am sure that the Porsche battery has a protection circuitry to monitor and protect it from under/over-voltage, overcharge and deep discharge as all these would destroy any Li-ion battery.

Wurlie--
Thanks so much for this post! For those of us with "just" lowly regular GT3's I could not be happier for you! What good fortune you have to be so close to Manthey. They must be fantastic.
I am sure that Porsche in the future will make other fantastic 911's that we will all covet but this car is one for the ages. Best of luck in the future and have a wonderful time driving it. It is always great to see a real car guy get a car like this.

Thanks for the post and pic's Wurlie. It is spec'd. perfectly IMHO! Kudos on the full cage. When I finally pop for a CS bar in my car I plan to go all the way with it too. No sense in making that kind of investment for a glorified harness bar. I will PM you. You, Carrering and me need to meet at the Ring one weekend....

Thanks guys for all the messages! It feels so nice to be able to share this passion with you.
Most of the time I sit in my corner sulking at not being able to join you for all the great events on the tracks on East and West coast![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I will do the Alpenpokal series - www.alpenpokal.com
It is a Porsche supported series, organized by clubs in Austria and south Germany.
There are usually 6-8 races a year, on tracks in Central Europe, including Czech Republic (Brno) and Slovakia (Slovakiaring). We also visit Hockenheim, Salzburgring and, since renewed, Red Bull Ring.
There are several classes, most defined by car age (generation of 911), slicks or no slicks, and courage of the drivers - the top being the GT Challenge class where they race Cups.
The series is a more informal, relaxed version of the Porsche Sport Cup.
Next year I plan to do 3 races in Clubsport - regularity tests driven against a chronometer.
Then, as I feel more comfortable, I will hopefully swich to Supersport ECE which is real racing (for position) but on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup - which have to be bought by the race organizer as a control tyre and you are allowed one set per race weekend.
Pete - I will try to post info on the kill switch once I get to Manthey to pick the car up. I hope to have more time then to take pics of the place and share with all of you.
Best, w
