You ask me this guy Savy is nuts. He buys these track-oriented cars, takes them to the track and has a blast driving the snot out of them. Doesn't even car about the occasional off (well, maybe a little).

He should've just left all the wrapping on the 4.0 and stuck it in a climate controlled garage for 30yrs so his grandkids could upwrap it someday, replace all the rotted rubber, then pay Barrett 8% to get a nice negative ROI.

Whacko!

Well said my friend, well said. Wait until you see my latest videos soon to be posted in a new thread. The more people track these, and enjoy them for what they were made for the better.

My understanding is that both cars were listed in inventory thus showed up as available when they were spoken for. Again, Hennessy did not sell for over MSRP and did not pull someones order to "resell" for their benefit.

I picked mine up from Hennessy a few days ago. Mine is black. There was another black one which is another customers car. In talking to them, they don't have any for sale and they say they do not sell over MSRP. They are the best in my opinion.

Porsche tells me that the color breakdown is as follows for the RS4.0:
- 70% White
- 20% Black
- 10% PTS

What a work of art BTW.

Eric
yes, they were sold to individual.
in this virtual world, individuals are also imaginary. just like i sleep with different super models every night.

what was the actual mark up above msrp on those cars?

I just checked with Hennessey and they have 2 RS 4.0s both black in the $206-$207 range. Neither is marked up a penny. Both have a long list of options that include PCM and PCCBs. They are just high dollar cars and too rich for my blood as they list for more than $85k more than the sticker of the GT3 I specced back in 2010 (with sport buckets, PDEM, a few other options and I even got a discount). They have about the same sticker as a highly optioned GT2 had in 2008.

I enjoy the color combo enough that my 4.0 is the same except for the trim (lips, mirrors, wing ends) which the lazy focks at the factory wouldn't paint black for me ! They tell me that I'm lucky that there was an option for the black wheels !

I'm told by Porsche that there will be only 16 PTS out of the 600 4.0 being produced and that this is the "only" 4.0 in Riv Blue .......... but who really knows !

My dealer just confirmed that it was built on the 24th and is now in QLT (quality inspection) and should be here just after Thanksgiving so I guess that this 3.8 will be on the market soon !
