Default Sport Seat Value

What is the market value of the original factory Alcantera centered sport seats from my 2007 GT3? (with airbags) They are in 85-90% condition... some scuffing, but no tears, cuts or chips out of the hard backs.

Just looking for an idea -- not selling.

TIA

thats a good question; which I cant/wont really answer, otherwise we will have yet another debate over pricing ...

I would say that demand for such is LOW, only really wanted by those that swapped out their factories for another seat and did not box/keep the originals and are now in search of same in order to sell their car ... it would be different if these were Sports Buckets/996 Recaro GT3 seats which would easily sell for 75-80% of their original pricing...

Thanks.

The response from the VW crowd for them has been huge. I had a local shop swap out the seats for me this week as I was running tight on time and when I picked up the car the service guy said that there has been a big interest in them by the GTI crowd. I have no interest in selling, but wanted a general idea on value.

Also a great buy for a 996 owner. A post in the 996 forums would go far IMO.

I'd like to pick up a set of heated GT3 seats someday...

Thanks. I refer to it as jackass yellow because that is what the cops say when they see me coming... "look at this jackass."

Yep, Mexico Blue has the same effect; thankfully ford seem to have selected it as an optional color on the new Mustang, so I have some ability to "hide" ...

box them, and put them back in the car when/if you sell it and re-sell the sports buckets separately ... you will get a better deal that way.

Hmmm... good point.... I plan on keeping the spyder for a LONG time though... I'll have to think about it.

the sports buckets are, IMHO always going to be at a premium over the stock seats, if all you are going to get is $1k a piece, I'd store them just in case, you will get more than that for the SBs anytime ... and its easy to pop them out, sell them separately and pop the originals back in the car ...

that's what I have always done when swapping seats in my cars ...
