Default New Forgeline 18" GA1R one piece forged wheels

There are not too many 18" one piece forged wheels are around for the GT3 RS right now. I tried two different sorce before I went with Forgeline. Initially I was reluctant to go with Forgeline since on their website they had only 3-piece wheels only for the RS. That was the past. Now they have the new GA1R single piece foged wheel in 18" with RS width and offset. I think I am one of the first who got the new GA1R wheels.
The wheels are beautifully made and remarkably light compared to OEM. Unfortunately I did not weight the wheels themselves before mounting the BFGoodrich G-force R1 tires. (335/30 R18 rear 265/35 R18 front) Now the rears are about 7 pounds lighter than stock and the front about 3 pound lighter. (the BFG-R1 265/35 tires are much more than the OEM MPSC )

I have some issues with uploading pictures but will continue..

WTF! I ordered GA3R's about 2 weeks ago, and never got any mention of them offering 1 piece wheels. I expressed concern about 3 piece eventual leaks, but was assured there wasnt a problem. Totally would have bought 1 piece if I knew they offered them....

Anyway, congrats on the wheels. They look very nice, and clears the pccb quite well.

The wheels look great, and one piece is great

Dont forget to tape your wheel weights

I am considering trying teh BF Goodrich when my stash of RA1 goes away, let us know what you think

Nice!...I ordered 3pc also just weeks ago...wonder if mine are built yet?

Any full car shots with these wheels installed? What are the finish/color and size options?

I love the design, do you happen to have a shot of the whole car with them mounted? Also, do you mind sharing what the one piece cost for a set? Feel free to PM if you'd rather.

I will try the rest of the pictures tonight! I do have full car images and images of the full wheel on scale. The weight reduction is significant compared to OEM. About 20# overall!
The quality is top notch. The only issue I had is that the rear set was quite snag fit, did not slide up on the hubas easily as the OEM set and it was difficult to get it off. The front went up and down as easily as the OEM.

Well I guess the cat is out of the bag now....
The wheel he is showing is our new GA1R.
These have been a long time coming and we are slowly releasing them, in fact this Titanium set is the only CL ones on the market at this point.
They are a fully forged 1-peice monoblock wheel using a lot of the technology and design elements of our very successful GA3R. They are currently only available in limited quantities in 18x9 +47 C/L, 18x12 +47 C/L, 18x9 +50 5-bolt, and 18x12 +52 5-bolt.
Other 18" and 19" wheels will start becoming available in early November and we will be in full production of all sizes by January.
These wheels are extremely stiff and fatigue strength is off the charts as well.
The weights are as follows:
18x9 C/L 19 lbs
18x12 C/L 22 lbs
18x9 +50 18 lbs
18x12 +52 21 lbs

Pricing on the wheels will be $4900 / set retail. However, keep an eye out for a introductory special on a limited amount of sets very soon.

I hope you like them, please let me know if you have any questions.

They are very very well made! I will run them today to a good tire shop for rebalancing. The initial balancing must be of a little bit, I have some steering shimy but in a wierd way.

Umm, If you guys have been in development for "months" and were releasing the 1 pc wheels soon, then why wasnt mdrums or I told about this? I constantly brought up my concern over 3 pc wheels eventually leaking due from track use. I was only assured leaks are rare, but was never offered nor told any type of 1 pc wheel were in development.

I ordered my wheels 2 weeks ago, and Mike ordered his last week. And all of a sudden, you "let the cat out of the bag" about the exact wheel we wanted in the first place?

David, can you please explain? Not really feeling to hot about this right now....

If either of you were interested in 18" wheels or fitments that we were in current production on, you definitely would have been informed.(That's how IRguy got his wheels) However, fitments other than the two I listed are not expected to be completed until November. We have kept these wheels a secret because we were very unsure about delivery times and did not want to keep everyone waiting on something we could not produce on time. We now have the first batch in the works and other forgings in the pipeline, so we now believe we have an accurate time line for future product and felt it was time to officially release the information.
