Talking Switched from F430 to 2010 GT3 today

Very happy with the switch so far, the GT3 is a blast to drive.

When I got home and I noticed that there seemed to be a lot of valve noise when idling and it seemed to be running a little rough, is this normal or should I have it checked?

Anyway here are some pictures:

Congrats

Not sure what you mean with valve noise but yes, they run rough.

The good news is that if it rattles, squeeks and smokes they sold you a real GT3 ;-)
It might start leaking too, but so far the MKII don't seem to have the typical MKI RMS leak (yet.)

you got the seats, bar and Harnesses! well fitted!

think of your GT3 as a modern interpretation of a 1973RS....

noise, smoke etc..... everything that makes it a true classic that you can drive everyday!

Race bred engine, trans, and clutch plus lack of sound deadening material equals a car that is pretty noisy at idle and sounds spectacular when you are in to that throttle. Enjoy, the GT3 is a fantastic car.

I wanted something more trackable and cheaper to maintain. So far I have to say that the Ferrari has nothing on the 997.2 GT3 when it comes to the driving experience, except for maybe the sound. But a few mods might cure that.

It even feels like the Porsche is a bit faster in a straight line as well which is something I didn't expect.

Your car looks great!

I did the same switch F430 into a 2010 GT3. My reasons were the fear of something catastrophic happening to the car which actually was bullet proof and cheap to own, but I couldn't afford the risk. I ordered it manual shifter and was delivered on Oct '06 and just sold it with over 21,000 miles. The GT3 so far has been greatly fun and like you I find that the sound is the only thing not as extreme, but that will be taken care at due time, other than that GT3 is a more raw and extreme ride. I will post pics at some time soon on my own thread.

Score on the new ride. Congrats. Especially considering it came with the seats, harnesses, and bar.

Nice color choice

It's a shame you'll be putting it up for the winter soon. Don't think they make studded tires in GT3 sizes!
