I skimmed through all 34 pages, maybe 2 stupid questions

1) Can this be done interchangeably with PCCB?

2) Assuming this listing is accurate:
https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/PK5LUGC.html

Suncoast says it takes 12 hours to do this. At shop rates, that is probably $2,500 - $3,000 + parts and then presumably an alignment on top of that.

Does that seem about right?

Having done this fairly recently:
1) If you mean, can this be done to cars with PCCB, the answer is yes.
2) Suncoast may be slightly optimistic, but 12-15 hours is about right. Be warned, on my car getting the bearings out was a real PITA. And, you definitely need an alignment afterward.

Your price estimate sounds about right, too -- say $3K in labor + alignment, parts and whatever the new wheels/tires cost.

Thanks for the response. Just picked up a turbo with centerlocks, trying to weigh "investing" in centerlock equipment vs just switching to 5 lug. I have spare 19" 5 lug wheels, so there is no wheel cost.

What wheels are the 5 lugs. I ask because if they are E88's, you may be able to sell them in a day and grab a set of center lock wheels.

for those familiar with this swap, and without having to read this entire thread - do the spindles/uprights have to come out of the car to do the conversion? or can the hubs/bearings be pressed in and out with those still on the car?

Yes, hubs/bearings can be pressed in and out with those still on the car.
