since your RS already has a TI rear muffler wouldn't it be no different than just going with something like maxflo side exhaust?

Chris Harris had the Akrapovic Evo Race exhaust - not the Sports Cup. Race exhaust is loud! Sports Cup - not so much.

I have fitted many sport cup Akrapovic systems in Germany....this is no doubt the best exhaust, it is better than the Porsche Ti muffler by far.

Give me some $$$$$$$$ so I can take it to the track and get it dirty!!!!! Or I can take the Akra tips off and we can go to the nearest strip joint and u can shell out some cash so it can get a few lap dances and be dirty with a few snail trails!!!!! :P

Hopefully soon in the near future!!!!!

I now have the Sports Cup exhaust. Louder than Sharkwerks (Sport on) below 4K rpm (a bit lower pitch as well). Quieter than Sharkwerks (similar to stock - though lower pitch) above 4K.

Some loss of torque below 3,200 rpm. Pulls hard above! Legitimate 46 lb. weight loss vs. stock.

Beautifully made.

Polarcharger, is the torque loss really noticeable or not?

I planned to change my MKII GT3 exhaust but after discussion with my local dealer said this will void the warranty so if someone can proof if any exhaust system is approved by Porsche to share with me

^ Doubt you'll find any dealer approving of an aftermarket exhaust from header on. Most will take issues with even a SW bypass but may turn a blind eye if the warranty issue doesn't involve the exhaust tract. Your Cup system from manifold on won't fly if warranty is high on your mind.

Warranty is without discussion No.1 Priority to me than anything else. but i assumed that Akrapovic is a very well-known system and the quality is high so i thought they might be approved by Porsche in Germany

I hear you--Akra is an OEM supplier to the GT2RS and more... but heck, you could buy the effin cup exhaust straight from Porsche Motorsport and come the first inkling of problems you know they'll point to that and cry foul...

Sometimes the dealership themselves don't make the call. When my front lift failed my local guys had to file EVERYTHING with PAG Germany to effect a warranty claim. That included every single mod on the car. You'd bet there's somebody in Zuffenhausen whose job is to review that data and determine if the claim is eligible under warranty... It's unfortunate but that's just the commercial reality. You and I might do the same if it's our business.

My advice is, if the warranty is important to you, don't mess with the exhaust. Or at the minimum, have the upgrade done by a trusted independent and be prepared to swap out everything for original parts if/when you need warranty work performed...
