Default Cheapest Track Wheels?

I'm looking for a set of 19s, CLs for track days. What are the cheapest options? Tire rack have some for $2700, seems pretty reasonable.

Thanks.....

For CL's the OZ Ultra's that Tire Rack sells are the lowest cost...I hate using the word cheapest for these wheels. If you like Forgeline wheels they are not too much more money.

Get a set of 18" instead and save money on tires. Give John at CCW a call and he will build you a set for $2800, same price as regular 5-lug wheels.

CCW does not have CL's ready yet...they need a car for test fitting.

The only streetable tire in 18" that will fit a 997 GT3 is the Toyo R888. If the OP trailers then he can use Hoosier R6.

With 19" there are a lot more R-Comp streetable tires plus you also have Hoosier R6 too in 19".

Tire for tire 18" vs 19" for example the Toyo R888 is $200 per set of 4 tires in 19" than 18".

OK Tire Rack it is then. My plan was R6s on the 19s and then trailer the car. Do youthink orange wheels on white with teh yellow ceramic calipers is a bit too gaudy? Maybe black?

Thanks but your front offset is wider than all other 997's. You use a 9x19 et47 offset and other use a 8.5x19 et51-53 offset. I'm not sure what offset would work for a 9" wide wheel in 18 or 19".

The Nitto NT01's are also available in 18" as a option for R-Comp street legal tires. I have a set of NT01's mounted on 18" Forgeline CL wheels, I use them for Autocross events were I have to drive about 90 miles round trip to the track.
