Default gt3rs2 smoke on start up

Hi chaps new to the forum, i have just bought a gen 2 rs with 2250 miles on the clock after it has stood in the garage for a week or two on start up it blows a large cloud of smoke out the exhaust sometimes accompanied by what sounds like the starter not fully coming out of mesh. i think i have read something about the noise and hard line owners i think take it all in there stride but i need some calming words if this is normal ? the smoke soon clears after start up has anyone else experianced these symtoms.

Normal to all GT3s. It's happens because there's no check valve between the engine block and oil reservoir.

Welcome to the forum!

Like they say at the dealer, " They all do that!" Tends to be worse after longer downtimes. Enjoy the car!

Another one here confirming it is perfectly normal (smoke+noise).

The wife loved the smell of my car starting after 3 weeks of not being used

Normal. Also the grinding noise you hear upon start-up is the chain tensioner. Still cringe everytime I hear it!

it is normal......

it lets you know that under the modern skin and air bags is the soul and spirit of the 1973RS......

dont let the power seats fool you, this thing is a modern classic!

perhaps the last of the great 911 6cyl race motors!

My last 911 did, and like everyone said, so does this one. However, it is a little embarrassing starting a GT3 in front of a bunch of people who don't know the car and huge cloud of smoke billows out

If it doesn't smoke every now and then, or machine gun rattle at startup, or weep oil in the back, or clonk in the front suspension, you probably got a Chinese fake car.

Or this:
