Default 19" Forgeline GA3R centerlocks are here

matte black inner with gloss black outer finish... ready for track duty!

There was a front fender clearance issue (as you can probably see from the pics) but the folks at Forgeline have outstanding customer service and are already making me two replacement wheels for the front as we speak. Without going into detail, it seems that they truly stand by their product enough to do whatever it takes to make things right, and for that I highly recommend them. Oh, and they make great looking wheels too.

And I do have a set of black CL fasteners to complete the look, but forgot them at home when I mounted the wheels.

What offset are those fronts? I've been going around and around with Forgelines on offsets. I want to get it right the 1st time!

Masmole,

First off, congrats! They are beautiful! As mdrums said, what is the correct measurements? I have a 2010 GT3 and am ordering wheels early next week

Color combo works nicely Masmole, congrats!

Just check those centre securing pins, it looks like they haven't been released fully.... Long nose pliers are awesome for the task.

On my NB GT3 with -2.5 front camber, I get fender contact with existing setup as shown using 235/35/19 Hoosiers. Fronts are currently 19x9 +49 offset and according to Forgeline, this offset was tested on other customer 7.2 GT3 cars with no issues, but perhaps with different tires. I get contact with the Hoosiers and so Forgeline is currently making me a replacement set to make things right. The new fronts will be 19x8.5 +51. So a new forging with narrower rim width and slightly less aggressive offset. The rears are currently at 19x12 +57 and have no issues so they will stay the same. The customer service at Forgeline has been simply outstanding.

Thanks! Yes I engaged them before running the session. I just snapped these pics immediately after mounting so I don't usually pop those pins out until I replace all the dust caps.

That is great to hear! Now seeing it in person, how do you like the gloss lip on matte finish? My choices came down to 2 options: Gloss lip with matte center, or just semi gloss on the entire wheel.

Larry those are killer looking wheels. I would stay with a 9x19 wheel though and make Forgeline get the offset correct.

I've gone back and forth with them because they quoted me some funky offsets that I know would not work. I still need to get it right with them before I order..if I order Foregline.

Love 'em! I guess finish combos depend on the car color, and DJN seems to be the expert on that, as he originally put this idea in my head, and I couldn't be happier with the results

DJN will have to chime in here then. Mine is Basalt Black, and I always go with the black on black look

Hi Gents,

I had suggested the Gloss Black rim and Matte Black centers for Masmole by my following experiences:

1) a dark matte center is great for track wheels because you don't have to clean the centers as often or as thoroughly
2) a painted or sealed rim is better than polished or chrome because it is a cinch to keep looking clean - and just a quick wipe with a damp rag around the rim only and the whole wheel looks very clean again.
3) I had seen Savyboy's Aqua Blue RS with matte black track wheels in person and it looked awesome!!!!
4) I had seen a Gloss Black rim and Matte Black wheel in the GA3R section of Forgeline's website - and thought it was killer, even though I personally prefer silver wheels on cars (i guess I have learned to like cleaning wheels!!!) after having a variety of different wheels and cars over the years.

Well, my Greek friend, since it must be Black on Black, I bet that you too will not be disappointed with the Gloss Black rim and Matte Black combo for your Black monster.

Enjoy!
Doug N. (the "other" Scot)

PS. My next set of wheels on my 2010 GT Silver machine will be Forgeline GA3R's with Brushed (sealed) rims and Silver centers - but there will be a twist at the end of this story........

Not that the GT guys in here would really care, but what I noticed with gloss black or just semi-gloss/matte black finishes are it shows swirls just as readily as the black paint on your cars. So if you care, make sure you understand this before taking the leap.
