Yowsers, who ever spec'ed that threw the kitchen sink at it and then some. And then never really wanted to drive it- 580 miles on the clock. That is so sad on so many levels. Asking price, like the spec sheet, is also wild fantasy. $150k would be a fair deal all around. But who would track a car like that? I would have to strip the interior just so I could live with it

Seriously, leather covered fuse box cover and dome light?

It has three options that are not available through the Porsche Individual Program

2nd Row Bench Seat, All Wheel Drive, Pass-Through Rear Seat

the GT3RS is for those who want CUP car blood in their street car. Screaming motor!

the GT2 is for those who want the fastest. The GT2 is a hard car to follow in a GT3 at the track. Damn hard.

If Porsche used the GT2 for the CUP car motorsport program then i would be probably be in a GT2... but i would still want a GT3 in the collection....... did i mention the screaming engine??

You are thinking about the GT2RS.

A regular GT2 is much closer to the Turbo, with more hp and rwd. It does not have most of the motorsport goodies on the .2RS for track use.

@Tony,

If you plan to use it mainly on the street, then I will recommend against the .2RS.

I've owned a turbo before, and i can assure you that the GT2 is a night and day diffrence in all aspects, also FYI Porsche motorsports was also responsible for the 997.1 GT2

Agree, but then why a Cup Car for the street? Rather get the real thing (and i did! )
The GT2 is WAAAAYY faster in real life situations than the GT3.
I made the step into the GT2 as daly driver, mainly b/c the difference in performance of the 997.1 GT3 at that time was not that much vs my well sorted 3.8 Carrera S.

Now, a 4.0 RS with the shorter gearbox ratios (much in need for several years before!) gets closer to the GT2, but almost nothing (other than a 430 Scuderia) can touch a GT2 on track.

At Monticello on the back straight, my GT2 is faster than my 997.2 Cup (3.8)

Sorry, no time to respond. Giving blood. Only 199,998 pints to go before I could afford this car.
