Default Possible Available GT3 RS 4.0

I bought a GT3 RS 3.8 from the general sales mgr from Herb Chambers Porsche in Boston (not sure if it violates forum rules by posting dealership name). He told me that they secured 2 RS 4.0 allocations and they are not spoken for. I find that kinda hard to believe, but then again, he did find quite a few new RS 3.8 that did not come up on my search. I thought I pass it along to people who are looking for them. Since I can't afford it, I didn't bother asking for price (at or above MSRP).

There's a very good reason - actually multiple - why that dealership has a hard time finding buyers.

there are a lot of 4.0RS out there unsold.
but they are
1 over msrp
2 already spec

thus IMHO, these are allocations wasted.
of the 160 or so cars coming to usa, we will see 50% of them with fk'd up option. you just watch....

those into watches, this like akin to PVD a ALS....
those into religions, like hanging an sacred item upside down....

Plenty of buyers at MSRP unspecced. But hey if they can spec up an 3.8RS to 190K (Still sitting on lots untill they take 20K off MSRP at which price I still would not want it.), can you imagine what they can do to a 4.0?!

********.

Amen......I do not understand why people spec options on these cars. The high MSRP buyers belong in a Turbo.

If I wanted a bling car to drive on the street and race stop light to stop light it surely would not be a GT3RS

If you order it for yourself, I don't care how you order it.

Load it up, make it it **** brown with purle wheels and green stiching, add illuminated carbon door entry guards with the text "I like dick" for all I care. It's certainly one less of potential future used 4.0 for me and you will kill resale value, but hey it's your money. Do what you want with it.

Now, the dealers just marking up options without really knowing what they hell they are doing that pisses me off. The load up a car that is worth LESS resale then a no option car!

Pre ordered dealer cars should just be very, very lean on options. Certainly no funky colors, no half assed stitching inside and no options that can be added later, the options should be minimized to what most 4.0 owners would concider essential, like none.

i considered printing out a spec list off the configurator, standing outside dealership and handing it to potential buyers on the way in so they can order it as prescribed so the car can be in the country when i'm ready in 10 years.

PVD Physical vapor deposition is a coating. Some will do this black coating on a classic watch like a Rolex Sub and so forth

one local dealer had a black/black GT3.2 with a sticker of $144k which was ridiculous. They ended up discounting the car heavily to sell it. I agree with the comment above that most GT3 buyers are not looking for a car with that list of options that falls more in line with a turbo buyer...no disrespect intended jut different use cars.
