I don't know of a better lasting 19" tire.
A couple of questions:
Do you mean 6 DE events = 12 days? That would be very long and not bad for $2000.00.
When you say Heat Cycled out, you mean you slow down too much, or just no more fun driving them? I'd run them untill you see cords. The fronts should be lasting twice as long, so if you just replace the rear, you should be OK with just softening the front bar a bit to balance out slipperier fronts.
Sorry, no experience myself, but if I had to drive to the track and refuse to buy 18" track wheels, I think I would stick with the Cups.

Keep on buying Sport Cups.
No other Michelin tire will give you better performance on the track.
They are expensive and short lived but that is part of the game.
Super Sports are longer lasting and better on the street/wet, but just not the same stick as Sport Cups. Since you do not drive on the street or wet, you want Sport Cups.
some figure 2-5 seconds a lap in difference depending on track. The confidence however is the main issue. Sticky tires give more confidence.
I do not know of any other 19" tire manufacture that will give you the same results for less.
Be thankful you have not tasted slicks..... they are like crack.
you can run a 265 front but Im not sure of rear in non RS.
Dont be afraid to cord the tires in order to squeeze every last dime out of them. I do.

Toyo is crazy to stop making the tire, it is the best DE tire hands down
The rears are a different story.....15-30 HC (depending on how shaved) and they cord on the inside
They are at their best right before they cord
Slicks......not anytime soon, Id be broke
OP.....drive them til they cord.....R-comp just get a little more slippery but you learn to drive them.....besides R-888....JUNK

Sounds like Cups are the only way to go with 19" wheels in my situation.
Question: Can 7.2 GT3 stock rim's take the 7.2RS tire sizes (245F/325R) without any modification? Maybe a camber change? Would it look funny (too small a wheel)? Sticking out too much? It would keep the ratio F:R and shouldn't mess up the PASM? Someone said those tire sizes would/could wear out my suspension more/faster? What about the "weak-link" LSD?
Would getting RS rims change anything?
I would love to get a little more traction with the 245/325 Cups and they're only $200 more on Tire Rack. Sounds almost too good to be true? Maybe Porsche intended the GT3 for the smaller sizes to match the rest of the hardware?
(Note: There was a thread like this a while ago but I couldn't figure what the GT3 owner had decided to do in the end). Tx.

Need somebody to chime in here to see what is the max size you can clear in the rear. I think a 315 would be a wide as you can go..... anybody here know?? You can however use 265 front

The trouble with a narrow body GT3 is the rear wheel well space. It limits your ability to put more tire under the car without rubbing.

On 19 inches there are a few options including Pirelli Corsas, Trofeos, Super Sports, Potenza RE-11, etc.
18" is the trouble No one makes a dual purpose tire at the widths that we Porsche guys use since RA1 are done...

all 997.1 GT3 are narrow body except for RS
all 997.2 GT3 are narrow body except for RS
All 997.1 CUP cars are narrow body
All 997.2 CUP cars are wide body
NJ-GT fit a 345/35/19 under 997.1 GT3RS #2569.
No rubbing. Wide body is good for some things...
