he must do ok, but it is his over-riding passion for porsche which takes over and neutralises any rational thoughts that may arise. if you live for porsche, then you must have it in your life, and forego other stuff to do so. don't forget chris has already owned a string of significant models before, such as the 993rs, 993 gt2, 996 gt2, and the francis tuthill built, '73 viper green 911.
i'm absolutely sure, that he heavily regrets ever selling the 993 gt2.
people usually don't make the same mistake twice.....the 4.0 is his redemption.

Looks like no lurid red interior for the Monkey. Lucky boy gets proper seats as well.

didn't expect it any other way.
he looks very happy, can't wait to see it sideways with that focussed head-tilt.

I wonder if CH got a discount for his endearing support for Porsche...

I agree with NJ-GT.

Maybe i was initially wrong to assume that the 4.0L RS's performance would be commensurate to the price differential. Now I think it was a foolish assumption given that the 7GTRS's were such a high base to outperform on.

Then again I guess it's the law of diminishing returns at work. At such a high level of play, further improvement on raising the bar for the 7GT3RS's means megabucks.

Cheers,

Interesting that he specced his car with steel not ceramic brakes. Other than that I think the car is pitch perfect.

He probably figures that if its good enough for a cup car, its good enough for a road car... I think it speaks volumes for the steels if a guy so involved in motorsport specs them... I just don't feel PCCBs offer enough benefit any longer to justify the cost, certainly not the longevity once promised when first introduced... If one got Movit rotors for the premium price, thats a different story...

ps. Awesome spec!! Congrats to CH on a job well done...
